Stretch to Access. Strengthen to Own.

The Surprise: Strengthening training can improve flexibility too!
Multiple reviews show that strength training can improve range of motion (ROM) similar to stretching, particularly when you train through a controlled, comfortable range. (PubMed)
Some practical takeaway (simple but powerful):
Stretching helps you access range;
Strength helps you own range.
The combination is often what makes mobility gains stick, especially for hips and hamstrings. (PubMed)
If you're stretching nightly and still feel tight during squats, lunges, or bending down; consider adding full-range strengthening (e.g. controlled hip hinges/ RDLs, split squats) to build confidence and capacity at end range. (PubMed)
